About us
Our mission
Bluebell Index (“BBI”) aims to mitigate the consequences of climate change and lead the transition to a low-carbon economy.
We are a climate fintech that values, certifies and monetizes environmental assets, incentivizing landowners to pursue regenerative, climate and nature-positive land-use practices, while allowing corporates to invest in net-zero goals.
Bluebell’s blockchain-based tokens, generated using science-based international methodologies and proprietary algorithms, provide the needed integrity and robustness to become a global financial solution.

Naming – How did it come about?
When our founder Phelipe Spielmann started to think of a name for a company focused on generating a positive impact on our Planet Earth through the intensive use of technology, he soon remembered the famous image known as The Blue Marble.
For those who don’t know, sit down that history is coming.
The Blue Marble is a famous photograph of Earth, taken on December 7, 1972 by the crew of the Apollo 17 mission, at a distance of approximately 45,000 km from Earth, on the way to the Moon.
It is one of the most widely distributed photographic images in existence. It’s the one in the cover of this article!
During its flight, Apollo 17 was able to fly over Africa during daylight hours. The mission, which took place during the summer of the Southern Hemisphere, provided that Antarctica was also illuminated. The photograph was taken approximately five hours after the spacecraft launched with a Hasselblad camera.
Blue Marble was the first clear image of an illuminated face on Earth. Published at the height of environmental activism during the 1970s, the image was seen by many as a portrait of Earth’s preservation, vulnerable and understandable in space. NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration assumes that this is the most distributed image in human history.
Nothing more iconic and pertinent than using the term Blue to personify our focus and mission:
Mitigate the consequences of climate change and lead the transition to a low-carbon economy
That said, let’s move on to the rest of the name construction. The term bell was applied to convey the sense of urgency and importance that the climate challenge confronts us with. It’s a call to action. Let’s act!
And the beauty of the name Bluebell is that it also represents a very delicate and charming plant, adding another layer of nature to our branding.
A plant representing nature and the carbon cycle with simplicity.
To close, we have the term Index as our “last name”. This word gives the technological appeal to our Brand and represents the environmental assets that are analyzed and valued by our solution:
carbon, water, soil and biodiversity!
The Logo
Our logo is formed by the name Bluebell Index associated with a symbol.
The symbol consists of four elements, which represent the four factors that make up the Bluebell index: carbon, water, soil and biodiversity. The dark blue circle represents our Planet, and the shapes in progressive sequence represent the restoration and preservation of the planet through a virtuous cycle.
